But next time I'm in London, I will take my business elsewhere. If you're looking for a party hostel and don't mind facilities, this is the place to go. The Generator hostel doesn't have a security officer patrolling the halls during the night without reason. There was also a BIG pile of trash on the sidewalk during my stay. Take also not of the area around the hostel: during night times the street in front of the hostel can get a bit dodgy with drunk/stoned up bums making rude comments to passers-by.

I've been to plenty of hostels that offer this free of charge. Our bunk bed only had one storage locker, meaning I was supposed to share it with my bed partner? I thought it was also pretty weird that they asked a charge for the luggage storage room. So much for charging my phone without a UK travel converter. The website advertised my room as having a USB charging socket, but it wasn't there. Why do they invest in fancy earl grey scented soup at the toilets, but don't have working locks? I'm not exaggerating: I've checked over 10 toilets and 4 showers, and only four had normal working locks.

About half of the toilets and showers on my floor had broken locks, which made the stalls unusable, unless you are a nudist. Plumbing was weird, panels were loose and stuff was broken. The walls were painted nicely, but if you enter a random room, things are get a bit shabby. But in this case, there wasn't much quality. But if you get some quality, I am willing to pay extra. For a hostel, the prices at Generator are pretty steep.

But this Generator doesn't meet the standard I am used at this hostel chain. Because I liked those in other cities a lot, I decided to stay at a Generator again during my stay in London. I have stayed at Generator hostels often.
